CALL FOR PAPERS

... has been answered, and the preliminary programme of the congress is now available: click here.

Participants are invited to suggest plenary presentations, papers, workshops, symposia, posters etc. The following formats are recommended. Papers should be submitted before March 1, 1999 to:

Prof. Dr. Jörn W. Scheer, Dept. of  Medical Psychology, University of Giessen, Friedrichstr. 36, D-35392 Germany. Fax: ++49-641-99-45689 / email: joern.scheer@psycho.med.uni-giessen.de

Plenary sessions

The plenary sessions will be organised as "debates". This means, two speakers will present opposing (or at least differing) views on important issues in or related to Personal Construct Theory and its applications. These contributions will take 20 - 25 minutes. A discussant who has been acqainted with the theses to be presented before, will give a short commentary. Then the debate will be open to the public. Since the space for plenary debates is limited, the selection will be based on rather strict criteria.

Papers and Symposia

The standard time slot available for presentation and discussion of papers will be 40 minutes altogether. However, it is also possible to submit papers requiring 20 minutes (including discussion) ("quickies"). Papers will be grouped into symposia as much as possible. Participants may also suggest symposia comprising several papers.

Workshops

Workshops can comprise one or more 40-minute "units". The number of participants may be limited.

Demonstrations

These may present e. g. computer programmes, specific techniques, Internet uses, etc, and often require the use of technical facilities. In this case, it should be mentioned with the submission.

Posters

There is an opportunity to present posters in the usual way.

Works of art

It has been suggested to include a topic like "PCP and the Arts" in the congress programme which could have the form of an "Art Exhibition" accompanied by a workshop. Anyone interested please contact Malcolm Cross , Department of Psychology, City University, Northampton Square, London,  EC1V OHB, UK.

Please use the submission form provided here. Please print out the form and send a paper copy and save it to a disk and send it as a data file (please use a state-of-the-art word processor).
