Explorations in autism

Abstract
The paper will describe the author’s journey, from a PCP perspective
of entering the field of autism and Asperger's syndrome and working with
the families of children and young people suf-fering from these disorders.
Philosophical and ethical issues of diagnosis will be voiced. Helping the
family in its struggle to understand the enigma of autism within the family’s
construction of events will be described. A focus on enhancing sociality
in the whole family in order to help the sufferer’ s problems with sociality
will be made.
