Abstract
For some 20 years, Kelly's repertory grid has been proposed as a tool
for multi-criteria decision-making. However, very few studies (e.g., Fox
& Smith, 1996) have actually tested participants on such an application.
The present study tests a mixed-gender sample of adults who are faced with
an important life-decision. A questionnaire that includes goal-attainment
scales measures the par-ticipant's impressions of the grid's ease-of-use
and utility as a decision-making aid. Implications of this application
for personal decision-making agency and for counselling intervention are
dis-cussed.
