Abstract
This presentation further reports on a research program spanning four
years in which a range of methodologies have been utilised to sample, contrast
and record the perceptions of trainees and practitioner Counselling Psychologists
relating to their domain of practice.
In particular this paper seeks to evaluate the salience and validity
of an evolving representa-tion of practice for Chartered members of the
Division of Counselling Psychology. Results of a national survey were analysed
using Q.S.R. NUD.IST software and are presented in terms of trends according
to preferred theoretical orientation, years of practice, and other profes-sional
memberships.
